These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of CloudBuddies (“CloudBuddies”, “we”, “us”, “our”) including our website, QR/NFC pet tag services, pet profile pages, shop checkout, subscriptions, and related features (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility and accounts
- You must provide accurate information and keep your account details up to date.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and any login links.
- We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms or misuse the Service.
2. Pet tags, activation, and linking
- A pet tag can be activated and linked to a pet profile through the Service.
- Once linked, scanning the tag will display a public pet profile page based on your privacy settings.
- You are responsible for ensuring that the information you choose to display publicly is appropriate.
3. User content and responsibilities
- You may upload text and photos (“Content”) to build your pet profile.
- You must have rights to the Content you upload and you must not upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing material.
- You grant us a limited licence to host, store, and display your Content solely to operate the Service.
4. Privacy settings and public visibility
Your pet profile may include owner contact details. When your tag is scanned, certain fields may be visible to the public depending on your privacy settings. You control which fields are displayed; CloudBuddies is not responsible for any disclosure you choose to make through those settings.
5. Shop purchases (tags and related products)
- Prices, currencies, availability, and shipping terms are shown during checkout and may vary by location/provider.
- You must provide accurate shipping and contact details for delivery.
- We may cancel/refund orders in case of fraud, payment failure, or unavailability.
6. Subscriptions and billing
- Subscriptions unlock premium features as described on the plans page.
- Payments are processed by third-party providers (e.g., Stripe, Mercado Pago). Their terms also apply.
- Subscription status may change based on payment success/failure, cancellations, and provider notifications.
7. Communications (email, SMS, WhatsApp)
- We may send you transactional communications (e.g., magic links, order confirmations, subscription updates).
- Some features may send messages via SMS or WhatsApp using third-party providers. Availability may vary.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:- Attempt to access or interfere with the Service, accounts, tags, or profiles without authorisation.
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to harass, defraud, or harm others.
- Upload malicious code or attempt to bypass security controls.
9. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. CloudBuddies does not guarantee that a scanned tag will always be accessible (e.g., due to network availability, device limitations, outages, or configuration issues).
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CloudBuddies shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if required to comply with law.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of the Service. If you are in the UK, UK consumer laws may apply.
